Bishop C. C. Berry, Jr.

• Born June 21, 1930 in Kerens, Texas
• Parents - the late Bishop and Mrs. C. C. Berry, Sr.
• Educated in Tyler, Texas
• Corporal in the United States Army
• Entered the ministry in September 1939
• Began pastoral ministry in 1946 at Henderson, Texas
• Other pastorates include Lufkin, Massey Lake
• Currently Bishop Berry pastors the Church of the Living God, 1112 S. Ewing Ave., Dallas, Texas
• Elected Presiding Bishop, November 1970 in Waco, Texas
• Pastoralship 44 years (started with 30 members, current membership 861)

Responsible for the following major accomplishments

• First full-time pastor in the General Assembly to receive a contract with health benefits, retirement, housing and transportation, paid by the Church.
• Largest active membership in the Brotherhood
• The only Church to use a 10-year based program for children as a direct donor to the Department of Public Welfare. (Certified One Million Dollar Donor)
• First Church of the Living God minister to be permitted to meet with the Council of the President of the United States of America.
• First Church of the Living God to serve as a major funding source in Dallas County.
• Chairman of the Board of Cleme Manor Charitable Trust (12 Million Dollars)
• Founder of Berry Manor Charitable Trust
• Founder of Blanton Youth Camp
• Founder of the Jeanetta Foundation (Multi-Million Dollar Corporation)

Bishop & Sister C. C. Berry, Jr.

Bishop Berry has been the pastor at the Ewing Street Church of the Living God for 44 years, and Sis. Berry has been a Ewing Street member for 20 years.  They are the parents of 7 children, Calvin III, Stephen, Linda, Jacqueline, Andrew (A. J.), Cynthia, and Wendell.  They have 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Bishop and Sister Berry are founders of the Glow Society, and are very thankful for the success and progress of this organization.   Bishop Berry was born in Kerens, Texas and Sister Berry in Tyler, Texas. 

He is a child of God and is known throughout the country to be one of God's anointed Preachers.  He is a devoted husband and loves working and helping people and making things that seem impossible happen (pulling the rabbit out of the hat).  His non-stop commitment to this calling is very commendable.   He is able to deliver God's word in his own style, in a very powerful way after doing it for 60 years.

Sister Berry strives daily to be a Christian, good wife, mother, grandmother, friend to all, model for the younger women, and good cook.  She has become one of the mothers to many of the church members (a role that she thoroughly enjoys).  She feels compelled to give them the benefit of her experiences after being in a marital relationship for 44 years.  Bishop Berry refers to Sister Berry as his ANCHOR!  They both solicit your prayers as they continue to work for the Lord.
